FREERIDE TRAINING I
Take this opportunity to have a go at off piste skiing, following the advice and experience of a knowledgable Mountain Guide.

Meeting point for this training day is at the Fleckalm Lift Station in Kirchberg, Kitzbüheler Alps. In December, the course takes place at the glacier in Zillertal.
Participants can select the preferred number of days they would like to join.
Focus is on safety and fun!
Outline program for 3 days:
Day 1: Freeride equipment - explaining the various transceivers or avalanche beacons which are available and the latest searching techniques. Analysis of skiing techniques and first attempts off-piste skiing. Video analysis will help participants to recognise areas where they can improve.
Day 2: Our descents off-piste will be somewhat longer on the second day. We will also evaluate and discuss the route or slope seltection and how to recognise the risk of avalanche when in the backcountry.
Day 3: This is the day we put what we have learned into practise by undertaking a longer freeride circuit in the Kitzbühel Alps. Depending on conditions, we will make short ascents and long powder decents. Using video analysis, participants are able to recognise areas in which they can improve.
This course is ideal preparation for those interested in Ski Touring Beginner Courses.
